Comparing URLs

Benchmark your pages against competitor pages with side-by-side GEO pillar comparisons and delta analysis.

Comparing URLs

URL comparison measures how your pages stack up against competitor pages across every GEO pillar. Use comparisons to find specific content gaps and prioritize improvements.

How comparisons work

Select your URL and a competitor URL. Vizzybl fetches and analyzes both pages through the same audit pipeline, then calculates the difference between each metric.

The comparison runs through several stages: fetching your page, fetching the competitor page, analyzing both, and computing the deltas. Results typically complete in under a minute.

Comparison groups

Comparisons between the same two domains are grouped automatically. If you compare yourdomain.com/product against competitor.com/product and later compare yourdomain.com/pricing against competitor.com/pricing, both comparisons appear in the same group.

Each group tracks the total number of comparisons, completed comparisons, and the most recent comparison date. Navigate between individual URL comparisons within a group to see how different pages perform.

Reading the deltas

Every metric in the comparison shows a delta — the difference between your score and the competitor's score.

  • Positive delta = your page scores higher
  • Negative delta = the competitor page scores higher

Winner determination

Each metric is compared using a 3-point threshold. A difference of 3 points or less is counted as a tie. Metrics are categorized as wins, losses, or ties.

The overall winner is determined by the GEO Readiness delta. If the delta exceeds 3 points in your favor, you win. If it exceeds 3 points in the competitor's favor, they win. Otherwise the comparison is a tie.

GEO Readiness weighting

The GEO Readiness comparison uses the same pillar weights as your standard audit.

PillarWeightWhy
Technical25%Infrastructure is necessary but not sufficient for AI citation
Content45%Content quality most directly drives AI citation decisions
Authority30%Brand recognition strongly influences AI platform trust

Focus your improvement efforts on the pillar with the largest negative delta — that is where the competitor has the biggest advantage.

Using comparisons

Run comparisons on equivalent pages to get meaningful results. Compare your product page against their product page, your pricing page against their pricing page.

A practical workflow:

  1. Run a comparison on your most important page against the equivalent competitor page
  2. Identify the pillar with the largest negative delta
  3. Follow the recommendations for that pillar from Understanding audit scores
  4. Make your content changes
  5. Re-run the comparison to measure your improvement

Repeat this process across your top pages to systematically close competitive gaps.
