Understand where your brand sits inside AI responses with the Prime Visibility Score (PVS), zoning chart, and Recent Mentions feed.

The Positions tab measures where your brand appears inside AI responses, not just whether it appears. A brand mentioned in the first sentence of a Gemini answer carries far more weight than one buried in the closing footnote — both count as a mention, but only one is "above the fold."
PVS is the percentage of responses in scope where your brand appears within the first 20% of the AI response text.
PVS is computed per-response, then averaged — repetition inside a single response doesn't boost the score. One prime mention is enough.
Every brand mention is classified into one of three zones based on its character position in the response text.
| Zone | Position | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| PRIME | Top 20% of text (or first ~250 characters, whichever is larger) | Above-the-fold real estate; what a reader sees first |
| MIDDLE | 20%–80% of text | Body of the response |
| FOOTNOTE | Bottom 20% of text | Closing remarks, source lists, caveats |
The Position Breakdown chart shows the share of mentions in each zone.
For very short responses (under 100 characters — typically refusals or one-line answers), zoning isn't applied. These responses are tracked separately as "short responses excluded" and don't skew your PVS.
The Avg Position stat (e.g. 2.3 / 10) is the average decile of your first mention across responses. Decile 1 means the brand appears in the first 10% of the text; decile 10 means the last 10%. Lower is better — a 2.3 means your first mention typically lands in the second decile.
The PVS Trend chart shows daily PVS percentages across the selected range (30 days by default, or the latest 14 days on the Free plan). A gap in the line means there were no brand mentions that day — it does not mean PVS was 0%. Tooltip on each point shows the number of mentions that contributed to the value, so you can spot low-confidence points.
This chart shows your PVS alongside the top 5 competitors. A competitor "winning" on PVS means they more often appear early in AI responses — even if your overall mention count is higher. PVS isolates positioning from frequency.
The same PVS calculation, but broken down per AI model (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.). Use this to identify which models give your brand the strongest early-position treatment, and which need more work.

Recent Mentions respects every filter at the top of the page — including custom tags and intent types. If the panel shows fewer than 10 mentions, widen your filters.
The Positions tab uses the same expanding filter bar as other tabs. You can narrow the analysis by:
