Understanding Brand Trends

Track how your AI visibility, GEO readiness, and competitive position change over time.

Understanding brand trends

Trends show how your AI visibility evolves over time. Track daily changes in GEO readiness, Share of Voice, and competitor positioning to spot opportunities and catch regressions early.

Visibility history

Vizzybl captures a daily snapshot of your core metrics. Each snapshot records your Share of Voice score, GEO Readiness score, brand mention count, total prompt checks, and estimated AI search volume.

Use the time range selector to view trends over 7 days, 30 days, or a custom date range. Longer time ranges reveal seasonal patterns and the impact of content changes.

GEO Readiness trends show how your pillar scores change after content optimizations. Each data point includes the score and a delta showing the change from the previous period.

Use these trends to answer:

  • Which pillar improvements drive the biggest AIVI gains?
  • Are Technical, Content, or Authority scores holding your overall score back?
  • Did a recent content update improve or hurt your scores?

Share of Voice trends track your brand mention rate across each AI platform over time. Per-platform trend lines reveal platform-specific patterns — you might see strong performance on Perplexity but declining mentions on ChatGPT.

Watch for:

  • Sudden drops on a specific platform, which may signal a model update that changed how your brand is referenced
  • Steady climbs after content optimization, confirming your improvements are reaching AI engines
  • Platform divergence, where your visibility grows on some platforms but stalls on others

Competitor positioning

The competitor ranking section shows your position relative to tracked competitors over time. Each competitor entry includes their domain, mention count, sentiment score, and estimated visibility score.

Track ranking changes to identify:

  • Competitors gaining ground in AI visibility
  • Opportunities where competitor mentions are declining
  • Which competitors appear most often in discovery prompts vs. branded prompts

What causes score changes

Scores shift for different reasons depending on the metric.

ScoreCommon causes of increaseCommon causes of decrease
GEO ReadinessContent optimization, schema additions, freshness updatesStale content, broken schema, blocked AI bots
Share of VoiceMore monitored prompts, improved content authorityCompetitors gaining citations, content going stale
CPSAdding statistics, data tables, outbound linksRemoving structured data, outdated facts
SentimentPositive press coverage, product improvementsNegative reviews surfacing in AI responses

Vizzy's Findings

Vizzy's Findings are AI-generated insights produced nightly by analyzing your brand data. Each finding includes a title, narrative explanation, supporting evidence, and a suggested action.

Findings fall into five categories:

  • Trend — A sustained directional change in a metric
  • Anomaly — An unexpected spike or drop worth investigating
  • Correlation — A relationship between two metrics (e.g., freshness updates correlating with mention increases)
  • Opportunity — An actionable gap where improvement would have high impact
  • Threat — A negative signal that requires attention, such as a competitor surge

Each finding is scored for confidence, novelty, and actionability. Higher-priority findings appear first in your dashboard.

Pinned findings

Pin any finding to track it over time. Pinned findings are refreshed nightly with updated data while preserving the original chart configuration, so you can monitor whether a trend continues or reverses.

Note: Pinned finding limits depend on your plan tier. Free plans do not include pinned findings. Pro plans support up to 3 pinned findings. Ultra and Enterprise plans have no limit.
